We visited for the Sunday roast dinner - a lovely meal. Two courses for £15. Beautiful fresh food, good portion sizes. Staff were friendly, welcoming and chatty. We will definitely visit again and recommend to others too, thanks!
Visited several times for “Doing your own thing” sometimes know as DOOT with my friend who travels down from Ilford and other mates - beautiful hotel, tastefully decorated, and right near the sea - would definitely recommend
Jolene and the staff were fabulous, they went above and beyond and provided us with a memorable stay. We had a Sea view room which was well appreciated. Conveniently located 5 minute walk from the nearest train station making it easy to get in to London or Southend.
Popped in for lunch, food was amazing, reasonably priced, staff were welcoming, polite and accommodating. A bonus on our visit was a live band playing in the garden, giving an amazing atmosphere to our lunchtime experience.
My family, friends and I had such a great time at the reggae soul funk gig today - great music played by the DJs, fantastic food & drink and the owner of the hotel was so lovely! I really loved the garden, lots of seats & tables, sorry our kids were overly excited running round! There aren’t many places in Southend where you can take your family (babies / kids) and enjoy the music, dance, eat & drink. Can’t wait for the next one!
I only got to say this hotel 1 night but it was really nice and comfortable room nice temperature breakfast included so I have some nice scrambled eggs for breakfast. I would’ve stayed longer if another guest had not requested that I leave.
We stayed there last night and the staff was nice. We checked in 11 o clock cuz train was late so when we checked in, we asked the receptionist if we can stay until 1 o'clock as I am a heart patient and he agreed next morning the lovely lady Rozi she made breakfast for us and she was very nice and polite but the cleaner was horrible, when we were sleeping she knocked our door and she started fighting with us and she said we have to leave the room maximum 11:30 we said to her we spoke to the receptionist and the receptionist agreed we can stay until 1 o'clock, but she said you have to leave the room 11.30, I mention I am a heart patient And I just need a little bit rest as I checked in very late last night but she said this is the rule you have to leave the room 11:30 so the girl Rozi she was lovely but the cleaner was completely horrible.
Highly recommended! We have stayed here several nights and it has been great, the room is very comfortable and everything is very clean. It is a quiet place, run by super friendly staff, the attention is definitely excellent, close and professional at the same time. Food was excellent and the weather was so nice that we could also enjoy the lovely garden. It is a few steps from the beach and about a 20-minute walk from Adventure Island and the Pier, a very pleasant walk by the sea side.
